We here at Goodwill know how important it is to you to be able to work and provide a living for your families.

Our 2nd Chance @ Work Program is designed to ensure that you are fully able to both find and hold down a job.

We are looking for people who are truly committed to turning their lives around and grasping the opportunities we are offering with both hands.

  • Our Program provides a series of Initial Classes covering a variety of topics, including GED preparation.
  • Each person participating has a personalized timetable which takes into account commitments outside of Goodwill.
  • After sufficient time to demonstrate your commitment to perfect attendance and meeting Goodwill’s expectations; Program Participants are given the opportunity to move into Work Experience.
  • Work Experience is 20 hours a week in our facility or stores, but is not guaranteed: sometimes waiting lists occur.
  • During Work Experience you will continue to receive guidance from our Case Manager for additional support.
  • Job Search activities are monitored and required after you have developed a recent work history.
  • Placement in a job in the wider community is the goal. Our Business Services Representative is networking with employers to create opportunities for you.

Programming Topics Include:
Seeking Safety by Lisa Najavits PhD – a therapeutic approach to recovery
Work Place Skills – a Goodwill Program designed to inform and prepare clients for the workplace
