“Goodwill's P.L.U.S. Program Offered in Elkhart”

(South Bend, IN) – Goodwill Industries of Michiana, Inc. announces limited openings available to Elkhart County senior citizens in their P.L.U.S. Program for low income seniors 55 and older. The P.L.U.S. Program is designed to help older adults Plan, Learn and Utilize their Skills by providing the tools necessary to re-enter the workforce so that they can afford quality housing and other necessities.  “As we age, there are so many factors that affect our finances.  The loss of a spouse, for example, can have a dramatic impact on the surviving partner.  Learning how to manage one’s finances and live affordably become high priorities for older adults,” comments John Cramer, Program Coordinator. 

The P.L.U.S. program will be held at Goodwill’s Employment Services and Training office located at: 1333 W. Lusher Ave., Elkhart.  Please contact Jill Powers at the Elkhart office at 574-293-1818 on or before March 14, 2008 if interested in more information about the program. The P.L.U.S. Program offers senior citizens innovative programs that promote dignity, independence and quality of life.  This program is available to the Elkhart County Community through funding by the Elkhart County Community Foundation.
